The Mighty Ducks

Mighty Ducks (1992)

Sam – Mighty Ducks is one of only two movies that have ever spawned two sequels, an animated series (that eventually got it’s own movie) and a major league sports team.  The other being Dog Day Afternoon.   I know I’ll never forget when Al Pacino thew out the first ball at the Atlantic Ciy Dogs’ first game vs the Expos back in ’86.  It was a really weird time in America’s history.  Where the Ducks have “Quack! Quack! Quack!”, the Dogs will forever have “Attica! Attica! Attica!” and “Kiss me. When I’m being fucked, I like to get kissed a lot!”

Tim – I reserve the right to admit I will never come up with a cleverer review of an Emilio Estevez film than Sam Wells.

Josh – It’s always the best part in a kid’s sports movie when the adults involved talk smack to one another, and bring to light the gravitas of the situation.
